Therefore I also launched a bigger brother called SFX Vol.2. So if you need more sound FX categories, you can consider a little contribution. It is not expensive and I made it really affordable for anyone.
Yes. Your free download contains both versions. You can run it on your Windows or Mac computer. Your dowload comes as a ZIP file and it contains PC and Mac versions. Just choose what you need.
Free SFX Vol.1 contains 32 categories and 900 different sound samples. With SFX Vol.2 (a separate instrument) you can even double your library. All together (volumes 1 and 2) cover 99% of the basic sound effects you ever need in your music production. Sounds are royalty free and came from different sources, including my own creations. They are free to use for everyone.
Usually you can buy only sound packs and separate WAV file libraries. But this is a VST sound effects instrument. One solid system with all the most used sound effects. Everything is organized. No more "missing file" issues in your DAW anymore.
Sound fx files are layered/mapped across the virtual keyboard, so you can play them live and find random sound ideas very quickly.
As always, it all started with own needs. I wanted one reliable, comprehensive and simple sound effects system for my music projects. So that all possible categories of effects are immediately available.
But since I was only using VST instruments, I didn't want to import any additional audio files. When files and folders are moved, audio files tend to get lost and your DAW says: "audio file missing" I didn't want that headache.
The big idea was to find a vst instrument that meets all these conditions.
So I looked for a good solution. The only thing I found out was that I had to make such an instrument myself. Now it's finally here, on this website :) Also for you, to download, to have fun, for free.
Most of all this instrument is meant for hobbie musicians, so called "bedroom producers" But of course, anyone can make use of it. Whether you are already a BIG pro or just a beginner, it doesn't matter.
